About Samantha

Hi! I'm Sam! I recently moved to Portland from New York and I'm hoping to build a community of families here who can count on me when they need an extra hand. For several years, I've worked with kids of many ages and backgrounds. Throughout college, I worked at a daycare, followed by a year nannying for two children, ages 1 and 3. I've also worked with middle school-age kids, including children with autism and other developmental and behavioral needs. I have a bachelor's degree in Psychology and recently began working in ABA, helping kids on the autism spectrum manage behaviors, build life skills, and become more independent. I'm currently transitioning into a school-based position and would love to fill in with babysitting and nannying in the meantime. I'm dependable, easygoing, creative, and love to engage kids while still following their routine. My goal is to become someone you feel comfortable calling whenever you need childcare.
