About Samantha

Hello! My name is Samantha. I'm currently a UTEP student. My initial spark for child care started at a very young age. I constantly would watch over my younger siblings, whether it was picking them up from school, helping with homework, or making them food. The list can go on and on(: Towards the end of high school, because of my love for helping others, kids specifically, I started to volunteer every week at a woman's battered shelter daycare. A few hours a day with 10-20, 2-5-year-old kids. Throughout the following years family, friends, and coworkers have asked me to babysit for things like date nights or work events. Most importantly, I was a substitute teacher for over two years, and as of recently am a middle school para-professional. These positions allow me stay up to date with certain child care methods. I've supervised classes up to 30, 8-16 years old kids. I've also worked 10 months with special education, grades 3-8, as well as coach in the special Olympics. CPR certified.
