Sam’s the best! I hired Sam not long after my wife had passed away from a long and difficult illness and I needed help with my 13 yr old son. It wasn’t an easy job for Sam, as my son was not at ease with having this new person in our world. Her role was to pick up my son after school and handle his after school activities and, often, dinner. We often needed her to handle long drives in city traffic during rush hour for various after school activities. In any event, Sam handled it all with aplomb. She is remarkably kind and empathic and always stayed positive, even on days when my son was not in the best of moods. Of particular note, Sam was always thinking of ways to engage my son on days when there was nothing on the daily agenda. And, she was extremely flexible when I needed her to stay late or if I needed last minute help on a weekend. She had great instincts re how to deal with my son. I trusted her with long drives, I trusted her when she needed to redirect his attention (in a positive manner), and I trusted her when she opted to indulge my son with long drives to address the requirements of various school projects. In short, Sam’s great! She was caring, empathic and patient at a time when we needed it most. She played an important role in my son’s life over about 2 years as we adjusted to our new world. If I had another child at home Sam’s the person I’d call for support!
