About Samantha

I have had pets in my house since the day I was born. I have been raised around cats and dogs. Over the years, I have rescued three dogs and two cats and placed them in my home. Right now, I have a small dog who has severe anxiety, so I keep him with me at all times. Whenever he is scared, I tuck him under the covers with me til he feels safe. I also have helped train a service dog. She is a Newfoundland lab mix, who is almost 3 years old. I spent six months training her, until she became a certified service dog. I adore animals, and was always the child to find a stray pet and run to my mom and dad and go, "Can we keep him?" and beg, even when they said no. I also enjoy training dogs. I know little tips here and there to help them follow commands, and to keep them under control, even in the most stressful of situations. I do not mind going out of my way to make sure an animal is happy. I even used to volunteer at animal shelters. I did that for about five years. I cleaned litter boxes, took the dogs out, cleaned cages, washed dirty blankets and towels, and so on. I never was paid for it, I just adored watching the pets run to me because they remembered me.
