About Sakari

Hi! I'm Sakari. I just recently left my lead preschool position at the Navy's Child Development Center. I was there for 4 years now and with a class of 24 kids that rotate in and out of care as parents got deployed or stationed elsewhere, I have navigated the uniquely different personalities and quirks of MANY children. During my time as a preschool/toddler teacher I helped many families meet developmental milestones including speech, gross motor, fine motor, potty training, and anything else parents felt the needed support in. It's important for adults to understand children as the tiny human sponges they are and guide them with patience because they JUST GOT HERE. Despite being so new to the world and having to learn concepts big and small, they catch on so quickly! As their caregiver, we will be exploring and investigating, making art and music, and learning/practicing good manners and self-sufficiency skills. I love being able to give them with the tools they need to blossom.
