About Ryan

Students at the high school and college level who are looking for a certain math or physics subject to really "click," I encourage you to reach out so that we can strengthen your foundation in math and physics and turn them into your best subjects. Together we can work so that you can approach the next exam with confidence. I am currently a TA for UNC's calculus-based introductory physics course and have been for for three semesters. For an additional two semesters I also was a TA for introductory astronomy at UNC, where I was responsible for two sections of 30 students each. I hold regular office hours in which one-on-one and small group instruction is standard, and I find that this is often when students learn the most. I graduated with a B. S. in Physics, minor in Mathematics, magna cum laude from High Point University in 2017. That same year I started work on my Ph. D. in Astrophysics from UNC-Chapel Hill. I plan to complete my Masters in Astrophysics by the end of 2020.
