About Rya

I am currently sophomore in college. I grew up in Santa Barbara and went to Ohio State University for my first three semesters of college. At Ohio State I majored in Health Sciences and minored in Biology. I just transferred to SBCC to finish my second year of college and plan to transfer to a 4-year university. I'd describe my personality as friendly, energetic, and punctual. I like working with kids because I have a passion for creating an environment for children to grow, learn, and be themselves. I started working with kids in 2017, where I was a nanny for two elementary school children until 2019. In July 2020, I became a tutor for three elementary school kids until July 2021. From February 2021 to August 2022, I was a nanny for a3-year-old. In my spare time, I like to play volleyball, go on walks, and paint. I also enjoy spending time with my family and my dog. My skills include patience, creating an educational environment, and understanding a child's emotions.
