I have worked as a nanny for seven years and I've loved each opportunity. My experience includes caring for up to five children from ages 1-week-old, to 10 years old. I am in my element when caring for both babies and children. I'm passionate about supporting their development in each stage, and recognizing each child's personal interests. I believe it's never too early to start reading to a baby, and so I love to incorporate regular reading sessions with any age. During play sessions I let the child lead. I am aware of their creative development and work to cultivate that within them. I look for opportunities to connect with each child in meaningful ways so that they can learn to feel comfortable with me. My time as a nanny has nurtured and cultivated my compassion, patience, and love. I have the perspective that a child's well-being is most important in any situation. Ruth is the best babysitter we have ever hired. She cared for my young children weekly for the last half year and was attentive and accomodating to our home environment and routines, and made every day fun and engaging for the children. I can see how comfortable my youngest (1) is with her and my five year old looks forward to seeing her every week. She also makes a habit of cleaning and helping out where she can without me having to ask, which means a lot to a busy mom. We don't trust many people with our children, and I felt very safe letting Ruth take them out of the home on day trips. She always communicated promptly and would let me know where they were. I am leaving my job to stay at home, but if I weren't, we would hope for Ruth to be our long-term nanny.
