I have worked as a nanny for seven years and I've loved each opportunity. My experience includes caring for up to five children from ages 1-week-old, to 10 years old. I am in my element when caring for both babies and children. I'm passionate about supporting their development in each stage, and recognizing each child's personal interests. I believe it's never too early to start reading to a baby, and so I love to incorporate regular reading sessions with any age. During play sessions I let the child lead. I am aware of their creative development and work to cultivate that within them. I look for opportunities to connect with each child in meaningful ways so that they can learn to feel comfortable with me. My time as a nanny has nurtured and cultivated my compassion, patience, and love. I have the perspective that a child's well-being is most important in any situation. I feel so fulfilled and happy when caring for children. My goal is to be a blessing in your family's life!
My husband and I felt so fortunate to have Ruth be a part of our lives while she nannied for our 1-year-old daughter. I work from home, so I was privy to some of the goings on throughout the day. I could hear Ruth while she patiently deciphered our daughters first words (helping with her confidence in communication), gave her opportunities to try new things (helping her learn to prepare her own lunch), gave her a safe amount of space to explore on her own (helping her learn to self-entertain), narrated throughout the day (helping with her vocabulary). She also took our dog for walks and helped with his training while taking our daughter to a nearby park. She and our daughter also played with our dog during the day (leading to lots of giggles and one very happy dog). We get compliments all the time on how advanced our daughters’ speech is, and I think Ruth played a big part in that. She also agreed to video call with our family while our daughter transitioned to a Montessori school program at 20 months old. She even met with our family before she moved out of state to say goodbye to our daughter. She is a wonderful and kind person (insert all synonyms of the words wonderful and kind here). You would be incredibly lucky to work with her.
