About Ruthe

I've always appreciated working with kids because I find joy in their curiosity, creativity and energy. I started working with kids when I was in high school with various babysitting jobs. When I moved to Minneapolis for college I started at a YMCA ECLC as an infant Assistant Teacher working my way up to Teacher by the time I had graduated. My time there and coursework also really helped me develop a passion for maternal and child public health! In my spare time, I like to be outside, be creative, read and so much more! One thing you should know about me is I'm easy going! I understand the importance of flexibility not only in life but in my career as well! I understand infant to preschool aged developmental milestones and can use and create programming that stimulates cognitive, physical and socio emotional growth. I can effectively handle and de-escalate situations and demonstrate patience, stamina, alertness, supervisory skills and creativity.
