About Ruby

Hi! I'm Ruby, a caring, responsible, and experienced childcare provider and current Master of Social Work student at Columbia University. As an older sister, I've spent much of my life caring for younger siblings, and professionally I've cared for children from newborns through age 16. I've babysat and nannied in Nashville, Washington, D. C., and Los Angeles, caring for up to 4 children at a time. I also have experience leading after-school programs for elementary-aged children, supervising groups of up to 20. My childcare experience includes meals, diapering, bathing, dressing, hygiene, medications as directed, transportation, homework help, age-appropriate activities, and keeping parents updated. My social work training has strengthened my understanding of child development and creating safe, supportive environments. I currently have a daytime clinical practicum and work as a barista, so I'm primarily available evenings and some weekends. I'd love to help your family!
