I have had dogs in my life for as long as I can remember. We recently adopted a rescue puppy who was supposed to be a shih-tzu, but when he started gaining weight (he weighs 60 pounds now), we did a doggy DNA test and found that he was part Great Pyrenees. I often take my two dogs on long walks to a local dog park, where they play with other dogs and jump into the stream to cool down. I've also watched my neighbor's two cats while they were away, and made sure to not only feed them, but play with them as well.
