I have a great deal of empathy and relate to the wants and needs of those I care for. I am responsible and reliable. I strive to always go the extra mile to make sure the people I care for are truly nurtured and trust that I will be there for them each day. I believe it is important to provide companionship and friendship while also attending to the daily needs of the individuals in my care. I cook, do laundry and provide light housekeeping. I have a car and am willing to run errands , food shop and provide transportation to and from appointments and such. Seniors deserve respect and tolerance. Shelly is incredibly responsible and self-directed when taking care of someone. She is astute and sensitive in understanding the needs of the older person in her care, and she's proactive when she senses that something is wrong or that little things can be changed to make the person's quality of life better. Shelly also understands that an older person's needs can evolve as they age, and she is aware that those changes are often met with fear. She is enormously patient with changing conditions and moods, and she meets the needs of the patient with kindness and compassion.
