About Riya

I'd describe my personality as approachable, gritty, and empathetic. I like working with kids because I am passionate about cultivating the growth of children all over the developmental spectrum. I'm looking for a job that allows me to implement creative activities and form a bond between myself and the others I would be caring for. I started working with kids in 2021 with a volunteer role for a local soccer club. In my spare time, I like to be active (running or pickleball being the current favorites) and spending any spare savings on a good concert! One thing you should know about me is that I try to make myself as flexible as possible. As long as any changes are communicated, I love to address any alterations in schedules, a child's specific needs, and room for improvement as a caregiver. My skills include taking the time to hear a child out over a misunderstanding, maintaining high energy throughout the day, and developing strong and deep relationships with the child.
