Less than 1 year of paid experience. I love kids, I have a several brothers and sisters. As the oldest girl, when my parents left I was in charge of my 2 sisters and 2 brothers, which started at age 13. Recently, I have been babysitting my goddaughter(who is now a 1yr old) ever since she was months old while attending college(still in college). And for most of that time, I was receiving pay through CCIS, so I have my clearances for children. I would read her stories, put her to sleep during nap times, feed her both formula and baby food as requested by mom, and change her clothes if she had any accidents. I have worked with kids at Life Steps in Butler, Pa through the AmeriCorps program in the Spring of 2011 for a few weeks. I colored paper with them, ate imaginary food, and even played referee for the little hot wheels races! Also through the AmeriCorps program I have helped with activities at the YMCA. I can watch toddler age and up on the weekends, until my semester ends and then I'll have more times open. I am responsible, prompt, and willing to receive constructive criticism, after all correction helps us grow!
