Experience: 18 yrs
I am a 46 yr old nanny & child/art therapist (AMFT) who is very caring, adventurous, energetic and fun, while at the same time being very reliable and organized. I live in SF and I have worked as a nanny for 18 years and child intern therapist (AMFT) for 5 years. I am currently seeking a temporary, full-time (from 8am-5 or 6pm), nanny position for four to five months starting in September or October 2026, so I can study for my LMFT exam in the evenings. I am flexible on my start and end dates. I am also available for evening and wknd babysitting jobs. I have a lot of experience working with children and teens of various age groups, from 1 month to 18 yrs of age. I also have a considerable amount of experience changing diapers, potty training, preparing bottles, cooking and pureeing baby food, playing, making arts and crafts, reading with children, attuning to their needs, validating feelings, mediating conflicts, problem solving, driving them to school, various classes, & activities.
Regina was our nanny for most of the first six months of our daughter’s life, from two months old until we moved away from San Francisco, and I can’t say enough good things about her. Every day when Regina walked in, our baby smiled at her. She took our daughter on daily walks and made sure her world was full of adventures — the zoo, the aquarium, the beach, museums. They went to the library every week and read constantly at home. Today our baby is 10 months old and remains so adaptable to new experiences, and gravitates toward books above other toys. Regina also helped our daughter learn to love baths, get comfortable napping in her crib, and enjoy experimenting with solid foods. She kept her stimulated and happy, and encouraged her curiosity. We were first-time parents, and one of the things we valued most about Regina was how much she helped us figure things out. She proactively let us know when she thought our daughter’s feeding or sleep schedule might be ready to change, flagged when new gear could support her development, and helped us test things out when we wanted to try something new. We were very grateful for how she approached the job as a collaboration. Regina was also incredibly reliable. She was punctual to within a minute, every day. The few times she needed time off, she gave us weeks of notice. When we needed extra coverage for travel, she made it work. She was also great with our dog and cat, which we really appreciated. If you’re lucky enough to have Regina care for your family, you’re in great hands.
