Howdy! My name is Rae. I graduated in May 2025 from the University of Texas at Austin with my degree in Art Education. I am an energetic, passionate and active caregiver with a great attention to detail. I am happy to cook, grocery shop, do laundry, and light housekeeping on top of childcare duties. I am CPR certified with 7 years of lifeguarding and swim lesson experience. I love hands on activities and I am happy to facilitate learning activities with your kiddos and bring along some art supplies on top of it. I support child social and cognitive development through active outdoor play and pretend play, as well as designated reading time, and routines. One of the main reasons I do this work is to support families in the best way I can, taking tasks off the plates of busy parents so they have more time for themselves and their family. I am open to critiques and am always looking to improve my work.
I highly recommend Regan (Rae) as a childcare provider. Rae worked for our family on a part-time basis for approximately eight months, from November, 2025 until June 2026, caring for our child. He was 17 months old when she started working with our family. During her time with us, Rae was responsible for his schedule on the days she was caring for him (3 days per week). This included managing snacks and lunches, hygiene, activities and anything else he needed through the day. She consistently demonstrated warmth, patience, and genuine care for his well-being. Rae is genuinely interested in child care and development, and has brought some really creative play ideas to the table. As an example, she identified toys and activities to foster his speech development and he commenced talking soon after that so I really do think it helped. Given her interest and background in art, they have done a lot of craft together, including with some stamps and ink she brought in for him. More recently, she discovered he loved buses from their walks around the neighborhood, so she started taking him on the local bus for fun which has really delighted him. She has also been working on building his confidence in playing and interacting with other kids his age, and there has been remarkable progress in this area over the time he’s been attending the local playground with her. Rae would be an asset to any role that involves child care or child development.
