I have over 8 years of childcare experience, have worked at a tutoring center for young children, and volunteer at my church in the nursery + toddlers classrooms. We hired Rebekah for 3 shifts, as we were visiting from out of town. After the second of the three shifts, she texted me to request payment, which felt a bit strange; upon receiving payment, she promptly told us that she won't show up for the third shift. We texted her to seek an explanation for her sudden decision that put us in a very tough spot, but she has not responded. We had made plans to meet up with friends in Jacksonville months ago, and ensured that we had the proper coverage for our daughters, but then Rebekah left us in a lurch at the last minute. In spite of being a self-proclaimed Christian who is about to marry in a week, Rebekah demonstrated no regard for the moral and professional responsibilities of commiting to a nanny job, and exhibited no accountability for her course of action and the effects thereof. Hopefully you'll find and hire someone more principled and reliable than Rebekah.
