I have a 17yr old boy of my own, which I raised him all on my own, besides the help of my parents sometimes. I have always helped with raising my niece when my sister had her 30+yrs ago, and I even moved in, and helped raise her with my sister, cuz she was a single parent as well, but she was also attending classes and working, so I chose to move in and help my sister as much as I could. I did the same thing with my brother when he gave birth to my niece, and I moved in with him as well, but both parents were there. I was just babysitting every week day til 5 p.m. while they both worked.
