My grandma was practically my best friend growing. When she started experiencing memory loss due to dementia, we eventually had to get her a home health aid due to me being in high school and my mom always traveling for her business. I wasn't happy with the treatment she got from the health aids so I decided to take matters into my own hands. I took a year off college after graduation high school in 2019 to take care of her. I realized school will always be there but her days with me were numbered and I wanted to make sure she had the best care and love. She was 89 and she died at 92. My classes were mostly online due to Covid so it was very convenient to me. That's when it started taking side jobs taking care of the elderly because my religion taught me treating the elderly with kindness and love, ensures you to be treated the same and gain rewards. That is why I believe I am a very good candidate for this job. I like in a quiet community called the Avalon in Yonkers.
