About Raven

I grew up with undiagnosed ADHD, thinking that I simply was never going to excel in an academic setting. After receiving a diagnosis as an adult, I took a lot of time to better understand the human brain, learning styles, neurological pathways, and what motivates the brain to make certain connections. After struggling in school my whole life, as an adult, I finally figured out how to learn and what works best for me. I can now proudly say that I hold a 4. 0 GPA and genuinely enjoy taking honors courses. My experience mainly lies in working with neurodivergent children, addressing behavioral challenges. However, I have also assisted with homework and online schooling. For the 2020-2021 school year, I taught a student their entire 1st-grade online curriculum. My main focus when helping children isn't identifying how they can get the highest grade. My focus is helping them identify what motivates them to learn and how they can be successful long term.
