About Raquel

Raquel has been our family's nanny for just over a year now. From the start, our two boys absolutely adored her. I was incredibly impressed by how quickly the boys took to her and how comfortable they were with her, but that should be no surprise considering how kind, patient and warm she is. You can tell that she genuinely enjoys and takes pride in caring for children, as she was always playing, engaging, teaching, and making the boys laugh. She is silly when she needs to be, but also serious when the situation calls for it. I trust her instincts when it comes to discipline. She is an excellent listener and took our direction to heart, carrying out what we asked. Raquel was open to and flexible when I asked for assistance with light housekeeping and even meal prep (she is wonderful cook!) She truly cared for the boys like they were her own, and I am forever grateful for how she made me feel at ease when I went back to work after being on maternity leave---how smooth she made a normally challenging transition. The way that both boys would light up when she walked into the room was not only amazing to see in terms of their relationships developing, but also made walking out the door in the morning all the less difficult as a parent. Raquel is a very special person to our family, and we feel very lucky to have had her in our lives.
