About Raissa

Hi, I'm Raissa! I'm bubbly, attentive & welcoming! I want to invest in your child(en) the same way that my teachers did when I first came to the US. They believed in me, so now it's my turn to do the same w your little ones! I've been working w kids since 2015. In hs, I spent a lot of time creating lessons and tailoring them to each student. Every child is different so you have to be flexible, loving and encouraging w what works for them! 2016 to 2018, I taught STEM experiments and English to K-12 after school. Simultaneously, I volunteered weekends at my local library assisting elementary students w science experiments. While in college at UC Berkeley (Cal), I became a summer French instructor and edited college essays. I also became the first Cal Fulfillment Fund (FF) mentor to 9 Cal freshmen from my same hs and program, FF. Whether it's the piano or my 8th language, I love learning new skills! I speak 7 languages ranging in different proficiency levels. What should I learn next?
