Experience: 10 yrs
My name is Rafaela, I am 37 years old and a Newborn Care Specialist with over 10 years of experience caring for newborns and young children. I hold a technical degree in Nursing (since 2011) and worked for 7 years in a maternity hospital, supporting mothers during labor and providing hands-on care for newborns. I am a certified Postpartum Doula through DONA International and certified by NAPS (Newborn and Parenting Support), a U. S.-based organization that requires hands-on experience and ongoing education to maintain high standards of care. My training includes newborn care, postpartum support, newborn assessment, and preventative health and safety. I also have experience with sleep training, Montessori, Positive Discipline, and Baby-Led Weaning (BLW). I provide safe, nurturing, and reliable care, helping families feel confident, supported, and at ease.
Rafa has been an exceptional caregiver for our newborn (premie). Rafa is very prompt and dedicated. During overnight care - Rafa has gone above and beyond - giving baths, clipping nails and constant monitoring and holding of our baby who is dealing with reflux. She has genuine affection for our daughter and checks in on her even when not here. Her knowledge has been helpful to us as new parents - taking time to show us methods to soothe and help baby’s digestion. She also always leaves our home much better / organized and clean than when she arrived. We are so grateful for Rafa and look forward to every time she cares for our little girl!
