I have Christian values and have had a variety of experience in the area of providing care. If I may, a little about me. I spent almost 6 years caring for my elderly father after my mothers passing whom I cared for, as well as currently sharing the care with my 2 other sister's here, for my sister of 51 years who is disabled. I was limited in my time, with the amazing experience of giving my father and sister a much better quality of life in our family home, so I attended classes for Human Services, in which I graduated from this May. My area is advocating for the elderly and disabled. I am wanting to keep your loved ones in their homes as long as they can. It not only gives them longevity, but the dignity & pride they want so desperately by remaining in " their " surroundings and all they have achieved in their wonderful lives. There are so many who want that, and I am the one to step in when your not able to and give your loved one that gift. My purpose in life is giving. I knew this at an early age, and that is exactly what I have done since I was 12 years old. It is such a honor & blessing to give joy and to receive it right back by giving the gift that keeps on giving ! When I lost my father 2yrs ago, 6 months later I lost my 20 yrs old son. Compassion, empathy, sympathy, and real life challenges has given me growth and humility which I possess proudly and want to give to others. I come from a supportive family of 7 other siblings, with strong values, ethics and morals and much Agape love. I have seen, and know first hand the desire for our loved ones to be at rest in the place they have put their blood and sweet in to to make it a home for us for many years, from the foundation up. My wish is to allow that amazing option available to them for as long as possible ! I have prided myself in learning and living the tasks at hand to make this possible to someone very deserving. I have also interned 125 hours at Agape Hospice ( speaking with the bereaved, and listening and helping them through their pain ) and Agape Assisted Living facility, where I had the privilege to interact daily with such wonderful seniors, and did a few one on ones with Hospice patients. I received training for Dementia/Alzheimer's through Agape. I am CPR, FIRST AID, & AED Certified. Re-certified as of late on 1-17-15. I have done volunteer work also at Hospice in NY. I am an advocate for The American Foundation of Suicide and attend many of their Out of The Darkness walks. I am a volunteer at ROC in Rock Hill through my church, as we provide a message from God's Word to the homeless, a meal, and fellowship & worship 3-4 times a week around the Rock Hill & surrounding areas. I was a Sunday school teacher to our youth in sharing and showing them excerpts, scriptures from the Bible and applying it to our everyday lives to be the best they can be each day. I have volunteered through many community service through my church. I was chosen in my division for Student Marshal for the graduating class of York Technical College May, 2015. I was on the Dean's List for the 1st semester's here, & the Presidents List for the last semester at York Technical College, where I will continue my education to further my skills and training . My hope is I am the individual you choose to care for your loved one and allow you some peace in knowing he/she is receiving the best care as if they were my loved one. I would love to utilize my kindhearted nature along with my experiences & caring skills in assisting your loved one in the activities essential in their daily lives, for their betterment and the highest quality of life moving forward.

Ms.Rachel, Thank you for watching our children, for making them smile, and for keeping them safe. This is the crux of your role, and you do it so well. Thank you for always being there with a smile. For being an understanding face when I open the door frazzled and slightly frantic. For bringing amazing activities that keep my children occupied for days afterward. For being a person they can talk to that doesn’t have the filter of being her teacher or her parents. For being so amazing that they actually ask me to go out so you can come over, killing some of the mom guilt of needing time away.. There’s that saying—“behind every great man is a great woman.” I’d like to add this twist into it—“behind every great mom is a great sitter
