About Rachel

I have extensive experience and training working with older populations. I worked as a Direct Support Professional providing home health support for 5 years. I cared for individuals with developmental and physical disabilities in their own homes and assisted them with activities of daily living, including grooming, housekeeping, medication management, cooking, and companionship. I earned my degree in Developmental Psychology, which allowed me to take several classes on the physical and mental changes we go through as we age. After college, I worked for 6 years in Behavioral Health and then 6 years in education. I hold certifications in Mealtime Challenges, Physical Assistance, CPR/First Aid, and more! Having been raised by my great grandparents and then caring for them when the time came, I have a deep respect for elders and will treat your family member like my own. I enjoy spending time with seniors and learning about their lives and hear stories about the past.
