About Rachel

I have volunteered as a homeschool instructor, and a tutor for Reading and Math since 2016. I began working as an in-class instructional aid and virtual classroom tutor since 2020. I have a passion for education and ensuring children gain confidence in their ability to learn past their struggles. I enjoy exploring the world of language, crafts and food. Once I had my own children, I focused on the deaf culture, their language-American Sign Language, Special need children and teaching as the founder of The Reading Block, now called The Reading Block Kids. After going to school as a CNA, MA and Phlebotomist I was encouraged to continue my education in teaching children. Currently I have the honor of tutoring online students as a Language teacher for Math and Reading and currently working on my Bachelor Degree in Education. I have taught English and ASL, tutored and aided students with special needs in Math, Reading, group craft and science project courses.
