About Rachel

I am in my 15th year of professional education. I spent 11 years as a kindergarten teacher and I am in my third year as an Early Literacy Specialist K-5. I have my Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education and my Masters Degree in Elementary Reading and Literacy PreK-6. I have a passion for learning and pride myself on building relationship with children and families. All students can learn when they are engaged and are provided activities that build on their skill set. I am open to part-time and full time opportunities. I do have transportation and own my own car. Background clearances are all current and updated annually as a professional educator. Besides teaching, I enjoy landscaping, reading, and taking daily walks with my 12-year-old Golden Retriever. I also enjoy different forms of exercise and love finding different places in my neighborhood to walk!
