I love working with kids because I never know what the day will bring. Spontaniety and authenticity are my jam. I love to figure out how to help them to be their best selves. I spent 15 years as a public school music teacher in San Antonio, Texas. Now I am a full-time RVer looking for a way to engage with kids and families on a smaller scale. In my spare time, I like to make music, be outdoors, craft, cook, and play with dogs and my entourage of nieces and nephews. I've been working with kids since I became a teenager, some 20+ years ago. I have been a babysitter, a camp counselor, a Gymboree teacher, a private lesson teacher, and a public school teacher. Kids are my favorite. My skills include helping kids learn to self-regulate their emotions by teaching them socio-emotional skills and tools, and play-based learning.

Rachel is amazing! We have 2 highly active young boys (3 y/o and 6 y/o) who are very challenging to manage. She is able to calm them when they are upset and get them to enjoy playing together! She works with them according to their abilities and individualizes her care for each of them. I can't recommend her highly enough! She has many years of elementary school teaching experience and it really shows when she works with our boys!
