About Rachel

I am a Southern California native and have lived in Sacramento for the past decade. I currently work as an intervention teacher & have the opportunity to support students become readers through the science of reading. I have been a classroom teacher for a decade. I am a college graduate (BA in History), hold an Elementary Teaching Credential & MA in Elementary Education. As a tutor, I am results oriented and data driven. I used phonics assessment and instruction to pin point targeted areas to help you child develop into a fluent reader. I am so well versed in supporting children with math. I have clean driving record, a safe vehicle and insurance. I am also CPR and First Aid certified. In my spare time, I love walking, yoga, playing with my dog George, reading and writing, and making crafts.
