About Rachel

I have always been drawn to animals my whole life and have a passion for nurturing and caring for all living things: children, animals and plants! My husband and I live on nearly 6 acres and I am an avid gardener, passionate about growing my own food as well as investing in plants native to our region to promote local ecology. We have 20 chickens we rotate on pasture, providing us with fresh eggs daily. We had an Australian Shepherd, Obi, for about 4 years. He was our favorite little buddy and incredibly smart! We raised him from 8 weeks old and have experience working with puppies. He unfortunately passed away last year due to a rare autoimmune disease. We do not currently have any dogs and are unable to board cats in our home due to my husband's cat allergy. I would be honored to care for your pet!
