About Rabecca

In high school, I took care of 3 children between the ages of 8-13. My duties were school/church pickup/drop off, errands, cooking meals, helping with homework/tutor, and playing outside/inside for kids to be active. While in college, due to my class schedule, I was no longer able to be a caretaker. However, for my degree in Early Teaching and Learning, I worked in elementary classrooms (grades 3 and 5) for the past year. I have been able to build classroom community, relationships with students, positive and safe learning environments, and watch my students succeed in their academics and social-emotional learning as well. I was able to develop a community among 60+ students who taught me that each child is unique and has their own abilities/goals and ways that I can support and guide them to be successful. Working with kids is a rewarding experience as children grow and develop in this world.
