About Quinn

Hi! My name is Quinn and I graduated UCSB with a bachelor of science in aquatic biology in 2025. I am a nationally registered EMT and work as a California State Lifeguard every summer. In addition to my job as an ocean lifeguard, I also run a summer camp program called Junior Lifeguards up in Monterey. We teach kids from age 9-15 everything ranging from how to get out of a rip current to managing bleeding control. I was an instructor in this program for 5 years, in 2024 I was promoted to "beach lead" in which I essentially managed the entire program of 130 kids and their instructors every day, and this past summer I was promoted to the coordinator position. Through being an instructor in this program every summer, I have developed a passion for teaching kids and helping them learn to respect, care, and have fun in the natural world. I am the oldest sibling of three and grew up doing my fair share of sibling babysitting over the years as well.
