About Prima

My name is Prima, and I have a breadth of experience that would make me a great help for any senior. My journey as a senior caregiver started when I was a preteen, helping to care for my disabled grandmother. Then at 16 I volunteered to help care for my friend's grandma who was suffering from pancreatic cancer. I cared for her for 4 months until she passed away. Currently, I am employed at Aquinata Hall which is a nursing home for the Dominican Sisters of Grand Rapids. I have been employed there for nearly 2 years, partially as a Resident Aide, and partially as a Medication Passer. I have experience doing most care tasks (including some basic/ intermediate tasks, such as administering insulin and taking blood sugars.) I have cared for seniors in several stages of dementia, Alzheimer's, Multiple Sclerosis, cancers, Parkinson's, and end-stage hospice care. I learn fast and am quick to pick up a routine. Please consider me as a caretaker if you're in need of help with a senior loved one!
