About Preston

I'd describe my personality as compassionate, adventurous and self-aware I have always had a love for public education and uplifting others through critical thinking. I find enjoyment in helping my students grow not just in their academic career but holistically. I've taught courses at the college level, taught high school for many years and now I am the Biology department head for a middle school in Irving. In addition, to my teaching career I am published in multiple academic journals for biology, and worked apart of an education fellowship. I'm looking for a job that gives me the opportunity to work with students and teach them latest skills in critical thinking and education to help them advance as life-long learners. In my spare time, I love fitness, reading, baking and spending time outside. My skills include patience, critical thinking and confidence building. My students have always scored on par or above district average in every state assessed course I've taught.
