About Portia

I'd describe my personality as caring, sweet, and protective of safety. I like working with kids because it helps heal parts of me that weren't nurtured in my childhood, and seeing people especially children and even animals happy warms my heart. I'm looking for a job that more stable and reliable than my current job. Somewhere I'm appreciated, and my skills are better executed and utilized. I started working with kids when I was 14. I cared for my little cousins, and my grandmother. In my spare time, I like to read books, write poetry, sing, go to restaurants and try new food, and most of all I love spending time with my family and friends. One thing you should know about me is I'm always open to constructive criticism, and I am very good with all ages from new borns to seniors. I can find a way to connect with anyone. My skills include patience, empathy, supervision, communication, safety & health, organization, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
