About Porter

I'd describe my personality as fun, loving, nurturing. I like working with kids because they are our future! I love teaching new things and allowing them to be themselves and explore their ideas. I'm looking for a job that I can provide my help to make lives better and less stressful. I started working with kids when I graduated high school. I would babysit often. I had my own baby at 17 so I have years of personal experience and a granddaughter that is 7. I furthered my education in child and adolescent therapy after I received my bachelor's degree. In my spare time, I like to spend time with my family cooking and watching movies. I love to travel and shop as well. I also like to attend Church and cook for my Church family. One thing you should know about me is that I care for all kids as if they are my own. I work full time with kids in the daytime dealing with mental health and behaviors. Skills include problem solving, communication through engagement, and active listening.
