I've had a pet for more years of my life than not. I got my first Shih Tzu at age 12. This strong boy lived to be 18 years old! I learned to care for senior dogs through Cookie. In his later years, he was blind and had dementia and seizures. After Cookie passed, I gained a soft spot for senior dogs and started volunteering at Muttville, a senior dog rescue in SF. Now, I have a Shepard/staffy mix. Riker's a huge cry baby and scared of everything. He grew up to be quite reactive, which makes walks difficult for him but we're training hard and gaining more confidence every day! My sisters cats, Remy and Suki were the first cats I really got to know. Remy's a flame-point siamese and Suki's a tabby. I often petsit for them. Other pet-sitting experiences include several jobs through different platforms. Because my dog refuses to walk with me, I often miss my daily walks. I hope your animals would like to join me as I work on my step count!
