Hello , I have experience teaching exchange students who visited my home from Japan and France. Both students ages17 and 13 arrived knowing very little English. I was their host family providing them with individual lessons and experiences to learn English and joyfully learned about each of their cultures. As a younger and older teen, I found ways to engage them with their favorite songs and lyrics, scrabble games and other interactive activities to prompt motivation and have fun while learning English. Both students were wonderful and able to practice their new language skills during our field trips in the community. I remember these experiences fondly and would welcome the opportunity to teach English.
