I'm studying to be an attending physician and I love school. I've traveled pretty extensively through Asia. As a graduate student, I was the only American in my lab so I'm comfortable in all types of settings and I'm a lover of different cultures. I'm an avid reader. I nanny because I love kids. Within my chosen career path, having children isn't feasible until late 30s so I enjoy spending time with other people's children. I have nannied for babies from age 10 weeks to "hanging out with teens."I have nannied overnight as well. My most recent jobs helping new parents transition with their new newborn as well as a week long live-in nannying job with pre-teens. My experience with older children comes more from a Girl Scouting background as both a camp counselor and a Gold Award Recipient. My Gold Award project centered around 8-11-year-old girls. Additionally, I have extensive experience tutoring as well as teaching children's church. Please consider me for your childcare needs!

Philise watched my daughter while I was in Washington, DC for a meeting. I would hire her again in an instant and plan to next time I return to the city. Though the circumstances were a little tough - the setting was a hotel room and an office (not our home), my daughter was 12 months old and starting her stranger-danger phase, we didn't have a chance to meet in person prior to the meeting - Philise did an amazing job caring for and engaging with my daughter. She took her out and about to see some of the nearby sites in DC, she fed my daughter nutritious, age-appropriate meals and snacks, she read and talked to her and she even held her as she napped to help my daughter feel safer and more secure in new surroundings. Both days my daughter felt happy and secure with Philise and hardly objected when I said bye for the day. Philise went above and beyond by providing updates and pictures of their activities for the days, which helped me to feel assured and to focus on the business at hand.
