About Philip

I aim to connect with my students and help them realize their unique writer's voice. Whether helping my students write a college essay, edit a short story, or read literature, I am an energetic and generous tutor who gives my students the tools to find delight in the written word. As a creative writing teacher, I have taught at NYU and in private lessons. In the coming year, I will be teaching creative writing at Northwestern. I am a published playwright, poet, and essayist, and I am excited to work with students of all levels.
