I am 45 years old with a lifelong passion for childcare, beginning in my early teens. One of my first experiences was caring for a child on the autism spectrum from age 14 through high school, which helped shape my patience, understanding, and dedication to children of all needs.
While I spent 10 years in retail management, my heart has always been in childcare. I have worked as a nanny for various families and companies, with experience caring for infants, twins, and multiple children. I also have knowledge in child development, including experience as a Newborn Care Specialist and familiarity with infant sign language.
As a proud mother to a 9-year-old honor student and club soccer player, I bring those same values of structure, care, and encouragement into my work. I am currently seeking a long-term, full-time position with a family where I can provide dependable, loving, and experienced care.

Philicia is an amazing nanny, she was with us for the last five years and we absolutely loved having her be a part of our family.

Where do I begin...Philicia is more than a nanny to us. She's family! She has been with us for 4.5 years since our daughter was 2 months old and was with us for the birth of 2 more kids. She has cared for our 3 babies like they were her own, and her family loved them all the same. Her nickname to our friends and neighbors is "Mary Poppins" because she's full of fun and magic and always knows what to do. Philicia is someone who goes above and beyond for those she cares for. She is also experienced in any and all situations so I was never worried for a second about anything. Philicia is flexible and able to adapt with anything that comes her way. She's fun and the kids absolutely adore her and see her as more than just a caretaker but as an auntie ; our "Nana"! She thinks of them all the time, bringing them toys or small treats on holidays or even to celebrate milestones. She is well-versed in all aspects of raising a child and taught me a lot along the way. She even treated our dogs like they were hers! Philicia is highly social and helped our kids make so many friends. Our kids were exploring new places and out of the house learning and having so much fun. She is constantly looking for new and fun activities to bring the kiddos somewhere new and truly enjoys seeing their faces light up with a new adventure. Philicia isn't afraid of a challenge. She's strong and brave and will always figure something out. We were so lucky to have someone like her for so many amazing years and would recommend her to anyone and everyone looking for the best nanny in the world!! 

Philicia will have worked for our family for 10 months. She has been invaluable to our family. She is very responsible and reliable. She is able to think ahead and anticipate our needs. She was able to get my preschooler to nap everyday which is tough to do. Philicia drove kids to school, the park and therapy appointments. She was very gentle & caring with my special needs daughter who requires a lot of assistance getting dressed, changing her diapers & giving her medication. She made healthy & balanced meals for the kids. She did the kids laundry and kept the sink clean of dishes. Our needs have changed and we can't offer her full time work anymore. We are sad to see her go!

Philicia is a great nanny!  She's helped us with our newborn twins.  Dependable, knowledgeable, friendly and caring, she was flexible to our needs and fit right in.  Active with our children, she was there to help work with them on development that is appropriate to their age.  She provided great advice and helped with other items if needed!

Philicia has been with us for a little over 2 years. She has been our full time nanny and has taken exceptional care of our twins. While with us she has always put our children first, she is very caring and our children love and adore her. Philicia is a hands on nanny, she reads, plays music and does arts and crafts with our kids, even when they were very small. As they have gotten older she now takes them to the park, library for story/playtime and kids play centers, I trust her completely with my children. Philicia does all the baby/child laundry, bottle, plates, cooks meals for the kids, stock diapers, wipes, changes linens, bathes, and also cleans and organizes clothing and drawers. She is excellent with staying on schedules and is very knowledgeable in all things baby and child. She has been with us since they kids were 3 months old and they are now 28 months and will be starting preschool. You will not find a more caring and wonderful nanny. 

I wasn't able to update my past review, she stayed with us an additional 5 months. She is an amazing nanny, my babies never had a want or need for anything while she was with us. She gave me piece of mind and I trust her completely in all aspects. She is a very interactive nanny, arts &crafts, park/library walks, sings, reads and plays. She has helped them excel at everything and even taught them how to sign. She is great about keeping them on a schedule, feeding, playing and napping. We have 11 month old twins and she came on with us when they were 2 months old. She is extremely knowledgeable in all things baby and is a wonderful support for new mothers. While with us she made bottles, fresh and frozen milk, formula, cereal/fruit/veggie solids, cleaned bottles, baby laundry, cleaned drawers out w clothes that didn't fit, changed sheets and changing table covers, trimmed nails, bathed, massaged and really just took wonderful care of our babies. Anyone would be lucky to have her.

Philicia is amazing! She is a very interactive nanny, she reads, sings and plays with my twin babies. She is great about keeping them on a schedule, feeding, playing and napping. We have 5.5 month old twins and she came on with us when they were two months old. She is extremely knowledgeable in all things baby and is a wonderful support for new mothers. Anyone would be lucky to have her, we are moving which is why she isn't staying with us longer. 

Scheduled an interview with her which she requested to be rescheduled.  On the rescheduled date, she was a no show.

Philicia has been with our family for 15 months   since our son was 9 months old.  When she gave her 2 weeks notice, we were heartbroken because she became such an integral part of our family and our lives.
Philicia has so much love to give to children.  She is loving, gentle, and nurturing.  Philicia is also a very experienced nanny.  She is a wonderful resource who has numerous ideas about food, meals, feeding, activities, and socialization.  
Philicia is also a very thoughtful person.  There were so many things that were outside her job responsibilities that she just did   without any direction or being ask   because she was just that kind of person.  Oftentimes we d come home to an immaculate house or find my pantry had been organized!

Philicia has been our babysitter for a few months taking care of our newborn daughter.  She seems to handle the stress of caring for a baby with ease.  She also uses the time when are baby is awake to engage with her by talking, reading or singing to her which we really appreciate in a sitter.  I would recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, dependable, reliable sitter for their baby.

Philicia has been watching our son (11 months) since he was 4 months old and we have been so impressed with the bond that her and our son have made. They have had so much fun together over the last 8 months and it's wonderful as a parent to feel that your little one is in good hands. Philicia understands the importance of her job and takes great pride in being a positive caregiver for someone as impressionable as a newborn/infant and that is worth its weight in gold. She is not afraid to express her opinions when it comes to care and has been so great in being flexible when last minute schedule/work conflicts have come up. Overall, Philicia loves kids and has continued to bring out the best in our son. We look forward to a long standing relationship with Philicia and love that our son lights up whenever she pays a visit!

Philicia has been watching my two kids (ages 23 months and 6) for well over a year and I have to say how much we love her! Philicia came highly recommended from another friend of mine so I was at ease well before she took the reigns for the first time. What I love the most about Philicia is that she is super prompt, seasoned, very relaxed with children (so they love her) and is very good about following what rules/schedules you might have for your kids. If you want your kiddo in bed at 8, your kid will be in bed at 8 p.m. My oldest totally respects her as an authority figure and as a friend and that is nice. My little one gets super excited to see her and that makes me happy. Any family would be lucky to have her, just don't take all of her free Friday/Saturday nights so I can keep using her.

Philicia is a wonderful caregiver to our newborn and 4 year old.  She started with us when our youngest was just 2 months old.  We were nervous to have someone take care for our baby at this young age but Philicia on day one gave us comfort and confidence that both our girls will be well cared for.  Philicia is very engaging with the kids and always looking for opportunities to help them learn and grow.  She gets down to their level to read, play, teach and just have fun.  When there are 'crisis' or challenging moments she knows exactly how to handle.  Also, for me personally, it was great to have her as a sounding board on the kids development and a great source of information on everything from how to get stains off shoes to lunch ideas for kids.  Philicia also helps us with keeping things in order with the kids things like bottles, laundry, toys, and rooms.  We did not have to do much at end of day or week as she made sure we're set-up well.  I can't say good enough things about Philicia.  The only reason we can't continue with Philicia is because our Mothers want to take care of the kids.  We hope another family will have a chance to enjoy Philicia as much as we have.

Philicia started watching our son just after he turned 1. It was hard being a first-time mom going back to work but she made the transition so much easier. She is very engaging, she taught our son things like numbers, alphabets, shapes, colors and other things. She often had fun learning activities ready to do with him, like finger painting. Like most boys, our son is very energetic and Philicia regularly took him on walks or to the park to get some exercise. She always let us know if there was even the most minor health concern like bumps, scrapes, or rising temperature. He loved the healthy meals she cooked for him and he's always excited to see her; they're best friends. She'd still be with us if we weren't moving out of state and we're sorry she couldn't come with us! If you're looking for the best out there, hire Philicia.

Philicia has been watching my kids for almost a year now and we absolutely love her! And so do the kids. What I love the most about Philicia is that she adheres to your schedule and requests with ease. And with that, the kids know they can't take advantage of her! Philicia is always on time and that is important, follows up with phone calls or texts for last minute babysitting requests, and always sends you updates (if you ask) while you are out - showing the kids having fun, etc.

Philicia has watched our two boys several times and they always look forward to spending time with her. She has the perfect balance of being fun and structured so I trust her completely. I have also referred her to a few friends who love her just as much as we do!

We love Philica!! We have two boys who are 5 and 2 and they always think its a treat when she comes over to watch them. She has always been available when we needed her and is always on time. She has become like family to us.
