About Petra

Hey there! I come from a big family(10 kids!) And have been around babies and children my whole life. I started babysitting at 12 and had my first paying gig at 16. Currently I work at Heritage Christian School as an afternoon preschool teacher. Before this I worked for the Kohl's Corporate Child Development Center and I worked for the Waukesha Parks and Rec before/after school program for three years before that. My goal is to provide a safe and engaging experience for the children I work with. I am a believer in learning through play, and child-led learning. I have completed courses in early childhood education with a special course in infant/toddler care. I have also had training on SIDS, Abusive head trauma, and Managing aggressive behaviors in children. some of my hobbies: baking reading playing cards/board games hiking singing
