I AM NO LONGER PROVIDING SENIOR CARE SERVICES. A retired social worker and trained Work-Place First Aider, I have extensive personal and professional experience in elder and end-of-life caregiving. The sole caregiver to my mother the last decade of her life, I also had primary responsibility for managing my father's care during his last decade of heart disease and dementia. I was the primary caregiver for my best friend/house mate during her three year battle with pancreatic cancer. I am well equipped to perform all caregiver tasks. The last eight years of my social work employment were spent in Geriatric Care, first in a long-term care setting, then working for Mendocino County Adult Services. I am experienced in dealing with the physical AND psychological effects of aging on individuals and their loved ones.
