I have had many years of experience caring for my mother-in-law, who lived with us for 13 years. I assisted her with all aspects of her daily routine, such as, meals, medication, dressing, cleaning and doctor visits. The last months of her life were on hospice care at our home. I was doing everything that was needed, and beyond, to make her comfortable and happy. I was taught by the nurses how to change her dressings on her wounds, keep her clean, reposition her often, feed her, change her bedding, etc. It was a life changing experience for me! I'm not a CNA, but I am thinking about it. I just want to help.
