About Paula

I was a licensed practicing midwife for 25 years. I loved my work and the great relationships built with families over the years- and the babies of course! I got burned out on the administrative parts of the job, but have a lot of care left to give. I was honored to help take care of my grandmother for the past four years as she progressed to needing 24/7 at home care for advanced dementia, COPD and colostomy care, and provided her final days of hospice care at home this autumn. Having 25 years of experience in hands-on health care, I'm very familiar and comfortable with personal care, bathing, toileting, lifting, etc. I am comfortable with overnight care in select circumstances I am also an expert traveler and will consider being a travel companion. I believe all people, and especially the elderly, deserve to be treated with compassion, dignity and respect and I know that providing care and companionship to seniors is a great way for me to continue care-giving.
