I have always had a special rapport with elderly people. I volunteered at a nursing home as a teenager and young adult. I am currently caring for my Dad who is 96 years old and living with me and my family. I'd describe my personality as friendly, kind and caring. I like caring for seniors because I find them so interesting with their stories about their life and the knowledge and experience they have just from being around so long. I'm looking for a job that is part time and local to me. I live in Massapequa Park. I started caring for seniors when my Dad moved in with me 8 years ago. In my spare time, I like to spend time with my family, pets and friends. One thing you should know about me is I am actually pretty funny and have a great sense of humor. Your senior family member will probably be laughing with me in no time. My skills include managing medication, running errands with them, or for them, keeping their brain young by engaging with them in activities.
