I raised a child and understand a parent needs to know their child is always safe and in good hands. My experience in childcare is both in a family setting where I cared for 4 girls ages 6 mos -9 yrs & as an after school counselor. As a nanny, I brought the girls to school, homework help, & prepared dinner. The girls also loved learning how to cook. We would frequent the playground and the pool where I taught the girls how to swim. At the bookstore, we explored reading & learning books. Outings also included ice cream treats movies, shopping or beach. We would sing & dance and make surprise videos for Mom. The girls knew they were loved, in good care & safe with me. As an after school counselor: Direct Supervision, Overcoming challenges; children with Autism, learning & behavior problems, mentoring, empathy, problem solving, conflict resolution, communication & listening, provided guidance, leaded activities I was rewarded with Big Hugs, Best Teacher Ever gifts, Flowers, Kids Art, etc
