About Patty

I am the mother of 6 children, ages 37 to 22. I homeschooled, and loved being closely involved in this way. My homeschooling was based on my degree in Human Development and Family Studies from Cornell University. They are all artists - dancers, musicians, actors, and educators in their craft. I have also been a nanny since 2013, for newborns up to age 4, including twins and triplets. I found that my years of experience as a mother have helped immensely in these nanny positions, in ways that arose naturally - understanding breastfeeding, encouraging sleep routines, starting solids, responding to illnesses, and anticipating developmental milestones. I love reading aloud as a precursor to literacy. I also play and teach piano, and have worked in schools creating arts-based programming. I have all 3 of my background checks, and have been COVID vaccinated and boosted. I am a non-smoker, and have a car. I also have several letters of reference from parents and colleagues.
