About Patrick

Fully Vaccinated Greetings! My name is Patrick, I am an elementary Itinerant Site Substitute Teacher working for Moreno Valley Unified School District. My job mainly consists of academic intervention. I am a specialized type of substitute teacher who provides targeted academic support and remediation to students who are struggling with academic content or concepts. I work in collaboration with teachers and admin to develop and implement effective strategies that support struggling students succeed. My strengths include small group instruction as well as one on one instruction using targeted skill building activities. I adapt instruction to meet student need by modifying instructional strategies to meet the unique needs of individual students, by using differentiated instruction. I model a trauma informed and trauma sensitive style of instruction. Trauma sensitive instruction involves creating a safe and supportive learning environment that helps students.
