I'm looking for a job that I can build a relationship with the person I work with and seeing that I make a positive difference in that person's and their families lives I started caring for seniors when I was in high school briefly for a few years, where I worked in a behavior unit at a nursing home as a hospitality aid, then in 2018 when I became a home health aid for a local agency In my spare time, I like to run in nature preserves and local races, spend time with family, and also I love to cook... We hired Patrick back in October 2025 while we were in Sarasota Florida for the winter. My husband has early onset Alzheimer’s and is only 66. Patrick was the perfect person for my husband. He caddied for him on the golf course so he could still play golf with his friends. Patrick took him for walks with the dog, breakfasts, lunches, to the beach and they even went for pedicures. It was difficult to find someone that my husband would like and he genuinely enjoyed seeing Patrick come through the door. I think my husband would consider Patrick a friend. Even when my husband started to decline and have hallucinations, Patrick stuck by us and helped us through all of it even coming to the hospital with me when my husband was having a hard time. When we had to leave to come back up north I asked Patrick if he would come with us for the summer and he and his wife drove all the way from Florida to Maine and stayed with us for three months. Unfortunately, Patrick has to get back to Florida, but he has been the most wonderful, compassionate Caregiver and friend to my husband and I will be forever grateful for the time they spent together. Patrick is always on time, always flexible and always smiling. You would not go wrong if you hired him. We will miss him terribly.
